A Manitoulin Island man is dead following a single-vehicle collision on Highway Six.
Manitoulin-Espanola OPP Constable Renee Lalonde says police, fire and emergency services were called out to the fatal collision near Lachance Road South on Friday afternoon.
Lalonde says the vehicle had left the road and while the driver had only minor injuries, a passenger 76-year-old Levis Debassige of M’Chigeeng died at the scene.
Highway Six was closed for several hours.
She adds the investigation is on-going with the assistance of OPP Technical Collision Investigators.
