The Elliot Lake Rotary Club has run another successful 100 Elliot Lakers Who Care, fundraiser, where people donate up to $100 each to fund projects submitted for consideration.
This year there were three, and the winning project is a major upgrade for the Elliot Lake Kiwanis Park basketball court.
Paul Eldon, who is heading up the project says the $7,400 donated through the Who Care program is a good start with new nets and a new state-of-the-art court surface in the works.
The entire project is estimated to cost around $37,000, so fundraising will continue throughout the winter with reconstruction planned for the Spring.
