Sheshegwaning receives waterfront feasibility study funding

A business corporation focusing on First Nation development and a Manitoulin Island First Nation have received funding from the federal government.

Federal Minister of Indigenous Affairs, Greg Rickford, says the Waubetek Business Development Corporation based in Whitefish River First Nation will receive $700,000 for the 2019-2020 year to assist local Aboriginal entrepreneurs to open new businesses, expand or research new projects.

The Sheshegwaning First Nation on Manitoulin Island is also receiving $75,000 to fund the Sheshegwaning Marina and Development Project Feasibility Study.
