One man charged in several thefts in Elliot Lake

Elliot Lake OPP has charged one man in three separate thefts.

OPP Constable Phil Young says police were called into the local hospital on October 28th following the theft of a backpack.

He says police also investigated to other separate thefts from residences including the theft of a television from a Mississauga Avenue residence on November 9th and another where a plant grinder was stolen from a Beckett Boulevard residence on November 10th.

Charged with three counts of theft under $5,000, one count each of drug possession and trafficking, as well as several breaches of probation, is 29-year-old Kurtis Letts of no fixed address.

The accused is to appear in Elliot Lake court on January 7th.
