Fedeli: Recordings conflict with Premier’s position on Sudbury bribe allegation timeline

Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli says Liberals are spinning different stories over the timeline in the Sudbury bribe allegation story.  Fedeli says Premier Kathleen Wynne has consistently said she made the decision to appoint Glenn Thibeault to run in the riding in November.  But audio recordings made by displaced Liberal candidate Andrew Olivier tell a different story.  Fedeli says they talk about a December date where the Premier’s deputy chief of staff tells Olivier that the Premier is going to make a nomination decision implying Wynne had not yet chosen Thibeault to represent the riding.     Fedeli says it’s the same story with the recording Olivier has of Gerry Lougheed Junior, a Sudbury Liberal powerbroker.  In this recording, Lougheed tells Olivier if he doesn’t step aside then he has to sell Liberal nominations.  Fedeli says this tells Olivier the Premier had not yet decided to nominate Thibeault.  Fedeli adds the OPP haven’t yet talked to Wynne but suspects they will very soon.  Fedeli says to date the PC’s and NDP have asked the Premier 200 questions over the alleged bribe and they still don’t have a straight answer.
