Stuff the Bus campaign nets thousands of items

The annual Stuff the Bus Campaign hosted by Veteran’s Transportation of Espanola is once again a resounding success.

Veteran’s general manager, Allana Pelletier says the idea is to stuff a bus full of food items for the local food banks.

She says this year was another exceptional turn-out with schools throughout the Espanola and Massey area collecting 3,154 items in all –enough to stuff two buses!

Pelletier added the most items were collected by Ecole St Joseph with 1,773 followed up by St. Mary in Massey with 814, Sacred Heart at 322 and AB Ellis Public School with 240.

Ecole Franco-Ouest will host their own food drive on Halloween as part of their annual Scare Away Hunger campaign.
