Espanola council approves website redevelopment

The Town of Espanola website has not been upgraded in years, so council asked for requests for proposals to look at various options to bring it up to modern standards.

The town received 17 proposals and all were within $5,000 of each other in regards to pricing.

However, Councillor Maureen Vanalstine says she was impressed with the submission by Guelph’s Sandbox Software Solutions.

She pointed out the various programs they had to offer, adaptability to various platforms, and how it will expand to work with social media such as Facebook.

The cost would be just over $37,000 and take up to seven months to complete the work of overhauling the site.

Council accepted the bid and the work is expected to begin in the near future.
