The Town of Espanola paid homage to its volunteers who work with various charities, agencies, and organizations.
Espanola Mayor Jill Beer told some 200 volunteers who attended the event on Saturday evening at the complex that they are the backbone of the community.
She adds with some 80 organizations in Espanola providing various services, the contribution to the community, economy and the growth of the town is crucial to its well-being.
She also encouraged more community members to step up and volunteer to ensure Espanola continues to be a success story
