The annual Terry Fox Walks will be held across Manitoulin Island and along the North Shore corridor this week.
Two Espanola schools, Ecole St. Joseph and Espanola High held their events on Friday, raising $3,287 and $1,000 respectively.
Most of the other schools will be walking tomorrow and October 4th to raise funds for research in fighting cancer.
The funds are sent to the Terry Fox Foundation, which has raised nearly $1-billion internationally to carry out research around the world.
