Unions: Just matter of time before ONTC up for sale again

Even though the transportation part of Ontario Northland will remain a Crown Corporation a union official wonders for how long.  Brian Kelly believes it’s just a matter of time before the Liberals try again to sell the rail and bus components of Ontario Northland.  He says they’re not doing it now because selling everything is too expensive for the Liberals.  But Kelly says as more Ontario Northland employees retire over the next few years, including himself, liability issues, like severance disappear.  Kelly says if the Liberals were serious about keeping the ONTC public, there would already be an alliance with Metrolinx on future contracts.  He also says the province is still mum on what role, if any, Ontario Northland can play in getting chromite out of the Ring of Fire.
