ROAD REPORT for MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2019
Manitoulin OPP Constable Tessa Kasch says shortly after eight-fifteen yesterday, the police and Sudbury-Manitoulin paramedics were called out to the collision on Emery Road in Gordon Township near Gore Bay. She says fortunately no one was hurt, but asks motorists to slow down and adjust to the changes in the weather. Photo by Rosalind Russell.
Roads are bare and wet.
Fog patches will dissipate this morning.
Be aware of school buses also on Highway 17, which could mean slowing down along your morning route.
Most of the resurfacing of Highway 17 is now complete between Nairn Centre and the Totten Mine turnoff.
However, some passing lanes are still closed so slow down in those areas.
Work crews are also installing guide rails along the reconstructed area and painting lines is expected to be completed soon.
Reconstruction work also continues on Highway 540 and 542 on Manitoulin Island
Slow down and stay safe on your morning commute.
