A unique way to fight mental illness stigma – that glove will travel

Baseball is one of the most popular games in North America and a Bancroft, Ontario mother has found a unique way of changing up the game to focus on mental illness.

Louri Snider says her son Mark passed away May 5th from suicide after a battle with mental health.

In his memory and to highlight the importance of understanding mental illness, her family starting placing baseball gloves in various locations and one found its way to Espanola this week.

Espanola Regional Hospital & Health Centre financial employee, Kim Renaud, found one in the cafeteria and in turn, she has placed it somewhere for someone else to find it and keep it moving.
