Local area roads are bare and dry, but also wet in areas with scattered showers.
Most of the resurfacing of Highway 17 has been completed between Nairn Centre and the Totten Mine turnoff.
However, some passing lanes are still closed so slow down in those areas.
Work crews are also installing guide rails along the reconstructed area.
