Mississagi Provincial Park, north of Elliot Lake, is scheduled to open this Friday for the season. The park was one of several in the north that first got the axe but was saved when the provincial Liberals relented on park closures. The park features several hiking trails in varying degrees of difficulty and lakes tailored for canoeing or kayaking. Mississagi will be open through September 1st.
