Elliot Lake councillors are not happy with the cost of repairs for the Centennial Arena.
Council had been told earlier this year that repairs by Timber Restoration Services of Moncton, New Brunswick would cost $475,000.
However, the company wants $621,000 to finish the work and some councillors did not mince words.
Councilor Tom Turner said he was not impressed and references for the company would not be forthcoming from the city.

Engineer and Structural Lead Alvin Olar told the council the repairs turned out to be more extensive than expected and with no other options, council voted to accept the new quote.
Repairs are to be completed within the next two to three weeks
