The second day of a two-day preliminary hearing looking into the theft of thousands of dollars from an Espanola service club will be held next month.
Espanola Police began their investigation into theft from the Espanola Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #39, in October 2016 and charged 53-year-old Anita Everett with one count each of theft over $5,000 and theft under $5,000 in August 2017.
Last Friday, Everett told the court she elects to stand for trial by judge only.
Assistant Crown Attorney, Colin McMorrow told the court he will be putting 11 witnesses on the stand.
Four of the 11 presented their evidence on Friday in Espanola court.
The other seven will present their statements on August 23rd.
A publication ban was imposed by the court until the hearing is concluded.
