Espanola council has taken another crucial step in the formation of an economic development corporation.
The town has been looking at forming the corporation for a number of months since it would have more latitude than the town itself, which is governed within the structure of the Municipal Act.
Council has also balked at paying out some $50,000 in forming such a corporation.
It is still not known if the public will have a seat at the table, as has been suggested, but it has been decided all members of the council be listed as directors for the initial formation of the new corporation.
