Blind River’s Strategic Economic Development Plan was part of the focus at two town hall meetings. Mayor Sally Hagman held the two meetings on Tuesday, adding she will be hosting them every January and July during her term of office.
Around 80 people attended the meetings to learn that the plan will be focusing on attracting more tourists and visitors, helping attract new business and continue supporting current businesses.
She says it is a five-year implementation plan, but it needs a strategy and that is where public input comes in.
Citizens are invited to help fill out surveys and assist with the development of the action plan.
She adds everyone is invited to comment on the town’s website about any issue that is a priority for them and to share their ideas with council.
