Tories and Federal government point fingers over Bombardier layoffs; Black market Marijuana continues to get cheaper than the legal version

Parliament Hill and Queens Park blame each other for 550 layoffs in Thunder Bay

There’s a blame game going on between Ontario and the Federal government as to which is responsible for the hundreds of Bombardier layoffs. The Canadian Press reported that Doug Ford is being accused of not delivering a promise to contract the facility. The Liberals are being told they should have committed more funding to support transit jobs.

Illegal cannabis almost $5 cheaper than legal version

Black market marijuana is getting cheaper while the legal version keeps getting more expensive. The CBC cited a report from Statistics Canada which said the price difference is almost $5 a gram. StatsCan based the findings on 572 voluntary responses. Canadian’s were asked how often they use the drug and what they pay for it.

Canada ranks third in world for new childhood asthma cases caused by emissions

Traffic pollution is causing one-fifth of new childhood asthma cases in Canada. CTV News cited a new study from Vancouver Coastal Health said pollution is still causing the condition despite better emissions standards throughout Canada. The study added the country is third in the world for new pediatric asthma cases caused by vehicle emissions.
