Blind River prepares for boating season

New signage and new staff will be in place for the Blind River Marina following a review by council.

Four staffers will be hired at a cost of $13,000 to man the marina during July and August.

Council also approved new signage to promote the Timber Village museum and art gallery at a cost of $2,500.

They will also have to look at other signage, such as a new ‘No Wake’ sign and have begun the process of preparing a bylaw barring ATVs from the property.

Members will also be reviewing Internet services to see if improvements can be made for boaters who frequent the popular marina on the North Channel.
