McHappy Day nets thousands for Ronald McDonald Houses and Rooms

McDonald Restaurants asked for the support of their McHappy Days and they received it.

Money was raised through the sale of food items, auctions and merchandise as part of McHappy Days last Wednesday.

Restaurants in Espanola, Elliot Lake, and Sudbury raised just over $17,000 locally in support of the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto and the Ronald McDonald Family Room in Sudbury.

Both houses and rooms provide accommodations for family members and their child while receiving medical care, either at Toronto’s Sick Kids or Health Sciences North.

McHappy Day was held last Wednesday with The Moose CJJM and CKNR staff on site to help raise funds for Ronald McDonald Houses and Rooms. In all, $17, 220 was raised in Elliot Lake, Espanola, and Sudbury.
