Catholic Francophone board unveils new logo

The Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon (Nouvel Ontario) has a new logo.

The logo has three main components, a compass, cross and a person leaning forward at an angle.

The school board says all three features combined symbolize its students looking to a promising future with confidence.

The new logo also has four colours.

One of the colours is green, which was on the old logo.

It was kept to remind people about Francophone culture and identity.

Celebrating the new logo

The three remaining colours are yellow, violet and blue.

The yellow is symbolic of light and the sun, violet invokes the faith that binds people together while blue is strength and alludes to the heavens and that students have infinite possibilities.

The new logo was unveiled as the school board celebrates its 20th anniversary.
