New fire hall set to open next month in Espanola

The construction of Espanola’s new fire hall is slightly ahead of schedule, but is nearly ready to open its doors.
Espanola Fire Chief, Mike Pichor, says council took a tour earlier this week of the new facility and although there is still some painting and electronic hard services to put in place, he expects to open by the end of May.
He says it has taken seven years, but the new facility will provide services for decades to come.
One of his favourite features is the new training centre.
The old one seated 12, but with a contingent of 28, the new one will be comfortable for 55.
He will provide a complete report to council next week.
