Sables-Spanish Rivers Township councilors are receptive to the idea of recording meetings according to a local ratepayer.

Jayson Stewart talked to council Wednesday night about the value of live-streaming meetings to shut-ins and families who are unable to attend council in person.

He told The Moose they seemed receptive to the idea and were impressed by the technology he shared, as well as the low cost for adding the feature.

Although council did not make any immediate decision on live-streaming, Stewart is optimistic they will be moving forward on at least recording the meetings for the public.

He hopes council makes a decision in the near future.
