A husband and wife team that has been a part of Espanola for over two decades, is retiring.
Frank and Lisa Winkel have been the owner-operators of The Your Independent Grocers store in Espanola for the past 24 years, but have now officially retired and will be moving out west.
Lisa told The Moose they raised their family in Espanola, but both daughters, Kristen and Ali, are now out west, so they will be moving to Calgary.
She says the business couldn’t have been the success it has been without the staff and the customers over the years and thanks everyone for their well wishes.
The store is now officially in the hands of the new owner Tanner Lafreniere and has been renamed Tanner’s YIG.
