UPDATE: 12:30pm: MAN CHARGED WITH BREAK & ENTER AND MISCHIEF

UPDATE: – 12:30PM:

Early this morning, Espanola OPP was called out to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Massey at 12:25am.

Police had to close off Arnold and Ferguson Streets area to deal with the situation.

Around 9:00am, the situation de-escalated and a 33-year-old man from Sables-Spanish Rivers Township has been charged with break and enter and three counts of mischief under $5,000.

The accused was held in custody and was transferred to Sudbury for a court appearance.

His name is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

UPDATE: 8:30AM:

Few details are being released this morning, but Espanola OPP say people in Massey can now return to the Arnold and Ferguson Streets area.
Espanola OPP Community Safety Officer, Constable Marie Ford, says the public were asked to stay away from the area shortly after 7:30am this morning.
She says that one man has been arrested and the area that was cordoned off is now accessible to the public.
More details will be released later this morning.
ORIGINAL RELEASE – 7:30AM: The public is being asked to stay clear of an area of Massey as of 7:50am this morning.
Espanola OPP Constable, Marie Ford, says the public is being asked to stay away from the Arnold and Ferguson Streets area.
She is not releasing any other information at this point in time, but says more  will be released later this morning.
