Liver donor needed for Massey woman

A Massey woman is in what her husband calls ‘liver purgatory’ because no match has been found for a liver transplant, but he says the public can help.

Leslie Knibbs says his wife, Beth Cassidy’s liver failed in December and she is being treated as best she can be, but no matches have been found for her.

To that end, he is hoping the public will come forward and be tested to see if they are a match.

Knibbs says he is too old and their son is too young, but anyone in good health between 20 and 60, can apply.

Knibbs adds of a match is found, all their costs including time off work, will be compensated.
