It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity for The Town of Blind River where the big story is making it on the shortlist for the Kraft Hockeyville contest.
At Monday night’s council meeting, Mayor Sally Hagman enthusiastically made the announcement asking everyone to take part in the voting process.
To make it to the top four, Hagman says it will be the public who will make it happen by submitting as many pictures and hockey experiences as possible to the town website.
Up for grabs is a top prize of $250,000 and the possibility of hosting an NHL pre-season game.
The winnings would go to local improvements at the arena.
The top four finalists will be announced on March 16th with the winner announced on March 30th.
