A new trustee with plenty of experience will represent the local Espanola, Blind River, Elliot Lake area.
On Tuesday, the Conseil scolaire catholique du Nouvel-Ontario chose Normand Courtemanche to fill a vacancy.
The position became available following the resignation of Gabriel Trembly who was elected during last fall’s school board election, but decided to withdraw.
Courtemanche is returning to the board having served as a trustee from 2010 to 2018, as well as vice president for two years.
