They will still take cash, but they would prefer payments online.
The Algoma District School Board launched School Cash Online at all its schools on Monday.
Executive Superintendent of Business and Operations, Joe Santa Maria, says for parents and guardians, the program makes payments more convenient and easier to track assisting in avoiding missing information or missing payments.
Santa Maria adds they can also approve permission forms online and make secure payments direct from their bank account.
Payments for school activities by cash are still accepted, but the new option will be the preferred method of payment for all ADSB schools.
