The Soo Eagles edged out the Espanola Express 6-5 in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League encounter Friday.
It was a double loss for the Blind River Beavers.
They lost out to the Soo Thunderbirds 4-3 on Friday and the Elliot Lake Wildcats squeaked in the win 4-3 in a shootout Saturday in Blind River.
A Lukas Lyszyk power play marker 59 seconds into overtime helped the Espanola Express complete a 5-4 come from behind victory over the Rayside-Balfour Canadians Sunday night, and the Thunderbirds tallied twice in each period to capture their eighth win in a row Sunday with a 6-1 decision over the Elliot Lake Wildcats at Centennial Arena.
