A man and woman have sustained serious injuries following a violent alteracation.
North-East OPP Constable Bev Gauthier says police were called out to a home on Front Street in Spanish shortly after 3:00am on Friday.
She says a 49-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries and a 32-year-old woman suffered serious head injuries.
Both were immediately taken to hospital.
The OPP emergency response team, canine unit and Anishnabek Police were also in on the call.
OPP remain on the scene and carried out a further search on the weekend.
Gauthier adds a man and a woman have been arrested, although names and other details are not being released at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
