Northern NDP gearing up for federal election

There are tough words coming from Nickel Belt MP Claude Gravelle.    In a year-end statement the New Democrat says his party will defeat the Harper Tories in next year’s federal election.  Gravelle calls the federal Conservatives arrogant and out of touch.  Gravelle is promoting two major NDP planks in the run-up to the election – affordable day care and a $15 an hour minimum wage.  On a personal note Gravelle has been pushing his Private Members Bill for a national strategy on dementia.  The Bill will be debated and voted on very early in the New Year.
