Lee Valley Hall re-opening its doors

The North Shore can look forward to the re-opening of a long-time community gathering place.

The Lee Valley Hall has been the go to place for community gatherings for over 100 years, but ground to a stop just over a year ago.

The Autumn Leaves Seniors oversaw the activities at the hall for several years, but had to close the doors.

Autumn Leaves board president, Patricia Campbell, says the problem involved the lease for the land the hall is built on.

In legal limbo, the group still stayed active accessing other venues and receiving support from other clubs and businesses.

Campbell says a new lease between the group and the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers was signed on January 15th and a grand re-opening will be held in April.
