Wolves United support mental health at Espanola High

Espanola High School has received a $1,900 grant from Wolves United to support student mental health. Espanola High School Principal Kristina Rivard Gobbo says the partnership between the Sudbury Wolves and United Way supports youth-based programming.

The funding will allow the school’s mental health collaborative inquiry team to host two Mental Health and Well-Being Afternoons for all 470 students.
She says students will explore healthy coping strategies for anxiety and stress, and ways to recognize and understand mental health conditions in others emphasizing students will walk away with tools and strategies to help cope with, and manage, their own mental health.

The sessions will take place in the near future.
