UPDATE: WOMAN FOUND: OPP looking for missing Manitoulin Island woman

UPDATE: Manitoulin police reported Thursday afternoon that Vanessa Atawish has been found in good health and thank everyone for their assistance.A search is underway on Manitoulin Island for a missing woman.

OPP media officer, Marie Ford, says 29-year-old Vanessa Atawish was last seen on Sunday evening at a residence in Mindemoya.

Ford adds there is concern about her well-being and anyone with information is asked to call police or Crimestoppers.

ATAWISH is described as follows:

Indigenous

Approximately 5’8″ tall

Medium build

Approximately 160 pounds

Short black hair

Brown eyes

Tattoo of two red dragons in the shape of a heart on her neck

Tattoo of “Robert” written on the right side of her neck

A long purple winter coat with high fuzzy collar

Faded blue jeans

Light brown winter boots
