East Algoma OPP saw an increase during November with collisions involving wildlife crossing area highways. And that’s prompting police to issue an advisory. They’re telling motorists to keep a lookout for wildlife on highways. If you see large animals on the road, stop and let them cross. They stress don’t assume they’ll get out of your way. A tip to remember is keep scanning highway shoulders up ahead to ensure a deer or other large animal isn’t getting ready to cross the road.
