Protest of pipeline in Mississauga First Nation

Not everyone supports the idea of a pipeline and there are those who will vocalize their displeasure, but not necessarily in a violent way.

Members of the Mississauga First Nation and other supporters will be slowing traffic down today between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm to show support in the fight opposing a pipeline in the west.

A pipeline is being constructed through Wet-suwet-en Territory in British Columbia, but there is opposition.

Supporters will be at the junction of Highway 17 and Village Road west of Blind River handing out literature to motorists and the OPP are asking motorists to use caution and slow down with the increase in pedestrians.
