Sudbury police say an officer caught on video involved in a use of force incident was justified in his actions. Police are allowed to use force under the Criminal Code and once they do, have to go through a series of checks and balances. Sudbury’s police chief says the officer in question has gone through these hoops including talking to a use of force expert. The chief adds that while use of force incidents may alarm and concern the public, the actions were justified.
