Most hunters obey rules during deer hunt

For the most part, people who took part in this year’s deer hunt in Northeastern Ontario followed the rules.  The Ministry of Natural Resources spot checked more than 830 hunters and although some people were charged, the number was very small.  Offenses range from carrying a loaded gun in a vehicle to liquor violations.  Some people were also charged for not wearing hunter orange.  The blitz took place in hunting areas stretching from Sault Ste. Marie to North Bay.
