Construction of the new double school in Espanola is continuing throughout the winter months.
Huron Superior Roman Catholic School Board communications officer, Jim Fitzpatrick, says the foundation work has all been completed as well as the Mead Street drop-off area.
He adds all underground site servicing is complete, the re-alignment of Church Street is substantially done and a parking lot base is also in place.
Fitzpatrick says the work will continue throughout the winter inside areas with tarps providing protection against the winter weather.
The new school will house Sacred Heart elementary and the French Catholic elementary and secondary school students.
The school has a tentative opening date of September 2020.
