Even though Resolute Forest Products in Iroquois Falls is closing for good, the MPP for the riding is trying to see if there’s another use for it. But Temiskaming-Cochrane MPP John Vanthof says for that to happen, the heat has to stay on at the site. Right now it’s scheduled to be turned off as of February 1st. Vanthof says if the building freezes up it won’t be good for anything else. He’s calling on the Wynne Liberals for help but says so far the province isn’t on board yet.
