The Espanola Express snapped the Rayside-Balfour Canadians five-game winning streak with an 8-3 win in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League encounter on Friday at the Regional Recreation Complex.
The Espanola Lions Club were also on hand for the annual Teddy Bear Toss garnering several toys for their annual drive.
In other Junior ‘A’ play, the Elliot Lake Wildcats rallied for a 4-3 victory over the Soo Eagles Friday night, but lost out Saturday night to the Blind River Beavers 4 to 2.
The Beavers also won a 5-4 decision over the French River Rapids Sunday afternoon.
