It was another successful food drive for the fire department in Elliot Lake. Each time this time of year, the department organizes a city-wide, door-to-door blitz collecting food with the help from many volunteers. This year, enough food was collected to fill 340 hampers for needy families in Elliot Lake. This was the 24th year for the food drive and in addition to food, some residents also donated cash and cheques.
