Police have arrested an Espanola man in connection with a hit and run in Wikwemikong.
Last Tuesday at approximately 7:40pm, Wikwemikong Tribal Police Service responded to a hit and run on Wikwemikong Way.
Pedestrian, 67-year-old Joseph Thomas Neshkewe of Wikwemikong was taken to hospital where he later died.
63-year-old Raynald Perron from Espanola has been charged with failing to stop at a scene of an accident involving death and causing death by criminal negligence.
He is to appear in Gore Bay court on January 23rd.
