The Sudbury District Health Unit is $20,000 richer after picking up its social media award in Ottawa. The health unit finished second in a nation-wide contest among health groups on how to use social media to get health messages across to the public. In Sudbury’s case it produced a message that stresses the importance of immunizing children against diseases. Sudbury MP Glenn Thibeault presented the award to the health unit during a ceremony in Ottawa.
