Remote First Nations may see emergency first responders

A drive is underway to establish emergency services on remote First Nations in Northern Ontario.  Researchers at Sudbury’s school of medicine identify the need in a report.  The report suggests that isolated First Nations residents be trained to act as first responders in an emergency.  Twenty-nine First Nations in Northern Ontario either don’t have 911 or paramedic service.
