House burns for third time in Espanola – considered suspicious

The Espanola Volunteer Firefighters were called out to a house fire on the Queensway Avenue in Espanola, which has been deemed suspicious.

The fire on the Queensway Avenue was put out quickly, but since it is the third one at the site in the last while, the Ontario Provincial Police Criminal Investigations Unit and the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office have been called in.

There was a fire on site in September, then another shortly after that.

The first fire was deemed accidental, but police are still looking for information about the second blaze, which is believed to have been deliberately set.

This third fire is deemed suspicious.
The home is cordoned off while James Allen of the Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office completes his forensic investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call Espanola OPP or Crimestoppers.
