Elliot Lake has won the Steel Blades Hockey championship in the Major Novice division. The tournament is played each year in Sault Ste. Marie. The Elliot Lake squad, known as Topper’s Pizza, defeated a Sault team 9-1 for the gold. Meanwhile, the Massey Predators won at the same tournament in the Pee Wee division going undefeated with five straight wins.
