The Conseil scolaire public du Grand Nord de l’Ontario has approved funding to open new schools in Elliot Lake and Noelville
The board says it will be opening two new elementary schools, in Noëlville and Elliot Lake.
École publique élémentaire de Noëlville and École publique élémentaire d’Elliot Lake will open their doors in September 2019 and will provide educational programming to students from kindergarten to Grade 6.
Education director, Marc Gauthier, says in the coming months, major renovation work will begin at École secondaire Villa Française des Jeunes and École secondaire de la Rivière-des-Français to accommodate the two new schools.
